For as long as I can remember, I have had a love affair with firearms. From those used by action heroes of the day, such as Chuck Norris and Charles Bronson, to sleek modern guns used in science fiction movies like Alien (M1A1 Thompson) and Star Wars (Sterling). Every child in my neighborhood grew up with toy guns around the house and, I swear, I can still smell the cap-gun powder to this day. It wasn’t long before I was heading out to the back yard with my Red Ryder to put holes in paper and the occasional water balloon before graduating to a .22 caliber Marlin tube-fed semi auto.

Long before becoming a Marine, I remember earning my rifle and shotgun merit badge in the Boy Scouts. A difficult test of skill then as it is now. That test of skill has continued throughout the years both on the rifle range and in combat. The small arm has continued to be the constant tool in my toolbox. When you use these tools long enough you learn a lot about them: How they work, when they are needed and when they aren’t, and how to make them better.

Over the years, I have contemplated how I could take the firearms I have worked with and owned and make them better. Not only improving their function and performance, but through modern design and components, the esthetics as well. Some of these designs use my own components, however, most are from the many, many talented folks doing just what I am doing in small shops all across America.

I still can’t believe I get to own and shoot the firearms I grew up seeing in all those magazines and films. I get to take them apart and put them back together again. I get to build them from scratch, or add parts and remove others, paint, polish, and tweak… I get to make them one-of-a-kind. It’s been a lifelong passion of mine and one I want to share with others.

Our philosophy is a simple one: Take the best the world has to offer in firearms and make them better.
